The Heigl Foundation Launches Free Spay / Neuter Program In California City

California City Free Spay/Neuter Program

The Heigl Foundation has launched a free spay/neuter program in California City in an effort to substantially reduce the number of dogs handled by the California City Animal Shelter. Annually, more than 2,300 pets find their way to the shelter either as a stray picked up by the City’s Animal Control Officer or surrendered by their owner. Unfortunately, too few are subsequently adopted.
