The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation Retreat 2013

Hosted by co-founders Nancy and Katherine Heigl, the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation annual retreat, which took place over the weekend of August 16-18 in Utah, represented an opportunity for the board of directors and invitees to meet in an informal environment and make plans, share ideas, develop strategies and establish targets for the year ahead.

Washington D.C. Visit

In September, Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley visited Washington D.C. to receive an honorary award at the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s Angels In Adoption Gala. They were accompanied by Nancy Heigl and Meg Heigl-Beltran, and during the trip, which also included a tour of White House, the group had the opportunity to speak with members of congress about animal welfare matters.

Almost a month has past since we last updated you about Grace, the five year old Pit Bull rescued in a very poor state of health after suffering years of neglect and abuse, so we thought it was time to share some good news! Recently, JDHF board member Meg Heigl-Beltran visited her at the sanctuary where she is being cared for and was thrilled to see how well she has progressed.
