Free Spay/Neuter Program Expands To Incorporate 93535 Zip Code

The Heigl Ray Of Hope Program

The JDHF is delighted to announce the expansion of the Heigl Ray Of Hope program to provide free spay/neuter surgeries for dogs and cats whose owners reside in the 93535 zip code. The Heigl Foundation initiative, in partnership with Rachael Ray and the LA County Animal Care Foundation already exists for residents of El Monte, South El Monte and Baldwin Park and is targeted at substantially reducing the number of pets handled by shelters.

Rachael Ray Renews Her Commitment To The JDHF

The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation has received a $75,000 grant from television personality, bestselling author and animal rights advocate Rachael Ray to support our ongoing efforts to stem the pet overpopulation crisis. Ray made the presentation to Katherine Heigl live on the "Rachael Ray" syndicated show February 15th.

A Record Breaking Day

Irvine Animal Care Center's 6th Annual Super Pet Adoption Event

The City of Irvine’s 6th Annual Super Pet Adoption event took place last Sunday and we were in attendance with the Heigl Hounds for a record breaking day which saw 353 dogs, cat and rabbits find their forever homes. Over 4000 people attended Orange County’s biggest animal adoption extravaganza hosted at the Irvine Shelter’s park-like campus. It was also a great day for Bud, our gorgeous tan Pit Bull.
