Ellie

Ellie is a 5‑year‑old, 68‑lb Labrador/Hound mix who’s ready to leave her past behind and step into a brighter future. For her first four years, she lived as a neglected backyard dog and then as a stray — so home life is new to her. But Ellie is resilient, joyful, and determined to succeed!

She’s been thriving in a live‑in training program, learning the skills she needs to be a wonderful companion. Ellie is crate‑trained, good on leash, and knows her commands (sit, down, place, recall). She’s dog‑friendly, has no prey drive, and never guards high‑value treats. She loves swimming, off‑leash adventures, and showing off her goofy “somersault” move when she’s happy.

Ellie’s adoption includes required training sessions to help her transition smoothly and maintain her progress. She’ll do best in a calm, well‑organized home with active, dog‑dedicated humans who can continue her training and give her the love she’s been waiting for. With her big heart and goofy charm, Ellie is ready to be someone’s shadow — and someone’s forever.
