Rocky the Husky Saved With Just Four Hours to Spare
For many, the number 13 is considered unlucky. But on September 13, it turned out to be the luckiest day of all for Rocky.
This beautiful Husky was scheduled to be euthanized at 4:00 PM due to shelter overcrowding. With only four hours remaining, the Jason Heigl Foundation stepped in at noon, rescued him, and took him into our care.
Rocky’s life was hanging by a thread, and we simply couldn’t let his story end that way. He is now safe and being looked after at one of our trusted boarding facilities until he is adopted. If needed, he will also receive training to help him transition smoothly into a new home.
Rocky is everything you’d hope for in a Husky: beautiful, spirited, and full of life. Now all he needs is a family who will give him the forever home he deserves.
You can apply to adopt Rocky on our adoption application page, but please note it may be a short while before he is available. He is not currently listed, as our medical team is still completing his assessment and our adoption team will need to photograph him.
