On December 13, volunteers from the Bark Avenue Foundation and many locals arrived at the Kern County Animal Shelter to rescue 76 dogs from euthanasia and transport them to safety. For the lucky Chihuahuas, Terriers, Pomeranians and other small breed dogs who were loaded onto a van and driven to the Northwest Organization For Animal Help (N.O.A.H), in Washington State the journey represented a second chance at life.
