National Spay / Neuter Month

Did you know February is National Spay/Neuter month? To celebrate, Found Animals and the Heigl Foundation are honored to team up to raise up to $180,000 to support low-cost spay/neuter services in the LA area. The worthy recipients are three extraordinary organizations dedicated year round to creating healthier communities and happier pets: Clinico, Spay4LA and FixNation. But they need your help to reach this goal.

Compassion Revolution: Announcement Speech

The Compassion Revolution Press Conference

To help curb the pet overpopulation crisis the Heigl Foundation is pledging $1 million to spay / neuter and supporting programs in the city and county of Los Angeles under the banner of the Compassion Revolution. Katherine Heigl, accompanied by the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation board, launched the initiative yesterday with a passionate speech explaining the nature and extent of the population problem.

The Compassion Revolution

In a press conference held today at the Four Seasons Hotel, Katherine Heigl, accompanied by the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation Board, kicked off a major companion pet initiative – The Compassion Revolution. Its broad mission is to unite diverse groups and individuals under one alliance to initiate programs that will directly address the pet overpopulation crisis in the area, and to set a precedent for similar programs across the country.
