Penny Prevails

Penny Prevails

Many of you will be aware of Penny, the 3 year old dog that the Heigl Foundation rescued last month. The horrific victim of abuse and neglect, she was abandoned at the shelter fighting for her life, and there have been times during the past few weeks when we really didn’t think that the adorable pup would make it. But Penny’s redoubtable fighting spirit and passion for life have helped her start to turn the corner on the road to recovery.

A Penny For Your Thoughts

The Heigl Foundation’s Executive Director Jennifer Brent has been personally caring for Penny, a dog recently rescued from a life of cruelty, who is battling to recovery from a torrid story of neglect and abuse. Jennifer has put pen to paper to document both Penny’s progress and her struggles during the past week, as she endeavors to nurse the 3 year old pup back to full health.
