Sweet Samba was found in a very emaciated condition, living on the streets in South Los Angeles. While at the shelter, she developed an upper respiratory infection that turned into pneumonia, requiring hospitalization. Apparently, Samba was pregnant at the time, but her pregnancy was not discovered in the shelter or for some time afterward in the hospital. That likely was because she was so malnourished when they found her, her caretakers thought that she was finally just starting to gain back some of her lost weight.
Still almost a puppy herself, Samba is thought to be only about 10 months old. She is a mid-size mutt with a very charming personality; as such, she is very people-oriented—loves attention and interactions with everyone. Samba gets along nicely with other dogs, too! She really is a very sweet dog who always is ready to give lots of love to her person, even when around her 10 puppies!
Samba is available to adopt in the Greater Los Angeles area. Can you give her the loving, forever home she deserves?
