The Gift That Keeps On Giving
It was early 2016, and Louisiana was experiencing unprecedented flooding. Delta Humane Society of Louisiana wanted to transport animals from Louisiana to some northern states to help relieve the pressure on local rescues and shelters. They needed funding fast and submitted a grant request to the JDHF.

It is also a time to remember rescues that have found forever homes and celebrate the joy they have brought to our lives. CAT’S PRIDE ANNOUNCES LITTER FOR GOOD PROGRAM
Cat’s Pride today announced its national “Litter for Good” program as part of its long-term commitment to help save America’s shelter cats through partnerships with and donations to animal welfare organizations across the country. Cat’s Pride is also continuing to partner with Katherine Heigl to help promote the program.

Rescue Mission: Hurricane Harvey
Hurricane Harvey continues to cause catastrophic flooding in southeastern Texas and has moved inland unleashing further deluges over Eastern Texas and Louisiana. The floods have displaced tens of thousands of people and inundated hundreds of thousands of homes, leaving countless families, service animals and household pets without anywhere to live.

Best Buddies: Lenny & Squiggy
Adorable puppies Lenny and Squiggy are the two latest additions to the Heigl Hounds of Hope, our internal rescue group which saves vulnerable dogs from high kill shelters in Southern California. The pit bull and chihuahua duo have quickly become the best of friends!

Free The Shelters – No Fee Adoption Event
LA Animal Services is holding a special "Free The Shelters" event this weekend at venues across the city. "Free The Shelters" is a no-fee adoption campaign that will take place from Friday August 4th through Sunday August 6th, and will feature over 1000 homeless animals from four Los Angeles City shelters.
